Things I Come Across…

Golitha Falls

Golitha Falls are situated near the  famous Bodmin Moor. The name Golitha derives from the old Cornish word for obstruction. It is an area of old woodland, the famous Fowey river runs alongside it. As you walk through the wood and beside the river, the fresh air will refresh you. It’s not a very long walk, but it’s definitely worth walking.

  5. John, Thanks for the kind words. I see by your images that you are also drawn to lush, green, mossy creeks. Beautiful photos, I looked at the first two and then had to zip on my fleece jacket to inspect the rest…I could feel the mist coming off my screen. Kat

  7. Lovely photos John. The ferns on those amazing moss-clad tree boughs are called “polypody” ferns. I think you mean Bodmin not Boodmin by the way.
